The nRF53 series is the evolution of the nRF51 and nRF52 series, not only combining the main functions of these two series, such as high-speed SPI, Bluetooth 5.2 and operating temperature tolerance up to 105°C, but also has better performance, larger high memory and lower power consumption, making it ideal for applications in LE audio, professional lighting, industrial, advanced wearables, medical, smart home, item tracking and RTLS.

First wireless SoC with flexible dual Arm Cortex-M33 processors

The nRF5340 is currently the first wireless SoC with flexible dual Arm Cortex-M33 processors. This processor has 1MB flash memory and 512KB RAM memory, and has floating point unit (FPU) and 8KB 2-way cache and DSP instruction function, thus ensuring the high performance of the chip.

By using voltage and frequency scaling, the processor clock of the nRF5340 chip can be set to 64MHz or 128MHz. At 128MHz setting, up to 514CoreMark can be achieved; running at 64MHz frequency can achieve 73 CoreMarks/mA efficient power consumption.

Provides a high level of security through the integration of ArmTrustZone®, which can differentiate between secure and non-secure zones on a single processor core, providing system-wide hardware isolation for trusted software.

 Future-proof LE Audio technology

LE Audio is the next generation audio transmission technology using Bluetooth and is an important future market with high growth potential in the IoT field. For this, LE Audio uses Bluetooth Low Energy transmission technology. The nRF5340 SoC is specifically designed to meet the full requirements of LE Audio technology. Audio streaming and improved, more efficient audio delivery are just two of the many benefits of this new technology.
